CONCEPTUAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL APPROACHES TO DESIGN ELECTRONIC INTERACTIVE BOOKS TO ENRICH THE DESIGN OF THE TEXTBOOK "AN ANALYTICAL STUDY

Abstract

The research aims to reveal the reality of using the interactive e-book in education by providing a systematic review of studies published during the period from 2018 to 2022 on the interactive e-book in education. It was possible to identify (12) studies in Arabic, and (7) studies in English. The search was limited to the following databases: Dar Al Manzumah, ERIC, and EBSCO. The results of the current research have shown the effectiveness of using the interactive e-book in the educational process in public and university education. Previous studies are interested in following strict standards for the design and production of the interactive e-book. Previous studies also provided an explanation of the concept of the interactive e-book and the most important interactive tools that must be available, as well as the tools and platforms used to produce the interactive e-book and their advantages.
The current research also provided recommendations on the effectiveness of using the interactive e-book in education, such as the necessity of replacing the fixed e-books currently used in some general education courses with interactive e-books. It urged teachers and faculty members to use the interactive e-book, and the importance of providing training courses for teachers and faculty members to provide them with skills. Design and production of the interactive e-book, paying attention to the standards of design and production of the interactive e-book approved and reviewed in previous studies
